Visit Nianjema and Tanzania this winter!
Classic Migration Safari (Jan 8 to 17) with optional extension to visit Nianjema Secondary and High School (Jan 17 to 19)
The safari is an extraordinary wildlife wilderness adventure scheduled with an optional extension to visit the unique education project Nianjema Secondary School, located in the oldest town of Tanzania, Bagamoyo, on the Indian Ocean
We are pleased to announce an opportunity to introduce you to the classic photographic safari adventure in Tanzania and also offer an optional extension to visit Nianjema, an amazing school educating future leaders for the growing Tanzanian economy. We are committed to supporting this project and therefore, Vanishing Worlds, LLC will make a $500 contribution to Nianjema School for each traveler participating in the safari whether they choose to do the extension or not.
The itinerary includes visits to many of the most extraordinary wildlife sites in East Africa including the incredible Serengeti during the wildebeest migration, and Tarangire National Park, known for very large numbers of elephants. Our guides are college educated naturalists and members of the "Safari Tracks" team, led by Andrew Uronu, who has worked with Pat House and Vanishing Worlds for over 25 years.
The extension to visit Nianjema is a chance to have a very personal time at Nianjema Secondary School in Bagamoyo where students are given the foundation to help them go on to further education and provide them with the opportunity to develop skills that can change their lives and improve the future of their country.
The Safari will commence in Arusha, Tanzania, at Mt Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)- it is suggested that travelers fly through Amsterdam on Delta/KLM. However there are many other ways to fly into Mt Kilimanjaro Airport. For travelers choosing the extension to Nianjema, the trip will end at the Dar es Salaam airport; other travelers should book their return flights from Kilimanjaro. There is usually no charge for arriving into Kilimanjaro (JRO) and leaving from Dar.
