Daily Schedule:

There are 11 subjects taught each year in Tanzanian secondary schools: English, Kiswahili, biology, chemistry, physics,
mathematics, civics, accounting, history, religion and geography.

7:00 am

The students and teachers arrive at school for general assembly and to clean up the school grounds, i.e. cutting grass with scythes, planting flowers, picking up trash.

7:30 am to 10:00 am
Classes begin.
10:00 am to 10:30 am
A hot breakfast cooked over an outdoor fire is served.
10:30 am to 2:00 pm
Classes resume.
2:00 pm to3:00 pm
A hot cooked lunch is served.
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Classes resume.
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Sports, debates, or clubs rotate daily.
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Activities:

Monday – Sports (Soccer, baseball, basketball, netball, volleyball, rugby)

Tuesday – Academic club meetings (Science, Math, Language, History, etc.)

Wednesday – Debates for entire school (e.g. Multi-partyism is a source of conflict in our society)

Thursday – Social club meetings (Music, Art, Newsletter, Drama, Book, etc.)

Friday – Sports

Saturday – Educational videos
