Margery Wolf Kuhn Schools are celebrating 25 years of challenge, growth and success in 2025!

Founded in 2000 by Charles Wolf Sloan, Jr., the first 90 students and 7 teachers began in buildings constructed on site with sun-dried bricks.

Today, each year more than 500 students from throughout Eastern Tanzania develop crucial academic and life skills, competence and confidence on a campus of 32 buildings including pre-, elementary and secondary classrooms, student dormitories, faculty housing and sports facilities. This year the Charles W. Sloan Clinic opened to serve students, teachers and people from the area.

We invite you to celebrate with us to make it possible for more students with need, talent and drive to take advantage of MWK’s rigorous academic and leadership education. Your support is needed! In a poor country, many parents can’t afford to send their children to a quality school like MWK. Many enrolled students can’t afford to board on campus and benefit from extra meals, study time and tutoring. MWK students now benefit from readily available health care.

Any amount you give is meaningful: $42 provides a week of schooling, $180 a month. $700 provides support for a year. For an additional $700 a student can live in a dorm and have lights to study, help from teachers after school hours and 3 meals a day.

Take advantage of our $1 for $1 celebration matching grant for up to $12,000 to support the education these children need. Two generous brothers, TEF Board members John and Michael Carney, are challenging you to join them to lift up more children.

Your gift will have double the impact!
Gifts from friends like you can be life changing. With your help, students who might be left behind can join MWK alumni who have become doctors, judges, teachers and, yes, even African music stars. (See stories about the achievements of current students below.)

With each dollar you send, more children reap all that MWK schools offer.
