Donate

In giving to TEF and MWK Schools, you join a long and distinguished group of people and organizations whose financial contributions have supported hundreds of Tanzanian children to attend school, graduate, and continue their education.

Donations of any amount will provide students with additional scholarships, personal textbooks so they can study outside of class, school supplies, and more.

Key Donation Areas

Scholarships

A $700 TEF Scholars academic scholarship can make the difference between education and no education, particularly for girls. Too often, families who sacrifice to send their boys to secondary school keep girls at home to work or enter an early marriage.

$700 also can provide room and board. Girls benefit from safe and supportive learning environments that campus dormitories provide, allowing them to focus on learning and, in some cases, providing shelter from adverse conditions outside the school.

Why do we emphasize support for girls? Once educated, girls drive economic opportunities for their communities, according to many studies.

Computers

$700 will buy one computer for the computer and language arts programs.

Solar Capacity

Solar power is increasingly necessary because of the long-term drought conditions. Extending the solar energy systems to all MWK buildings is forward-looking, saving money and energy, and creating better learning environments. Any amount contributes to this effort.

Homes for Teachers

Good housing helps to attract the best teachers. $40,000 will build a house for new teachers. Any amount contributes to this effort.

Infrastructure

Classroom buildings require constant upkeep, including new and raised roofs to increase ventilation. $30,000 will update a classroom building. Any amount contributes to this effort.
